Fighting the invisible epidemic of diabetes

More than half of adults in the U.S. have diabetes or prediabetes, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that $237 billion a year is spent on medical costs related to diabetes. This invisible epidemic impacts millions of Americans, and communities of color are often hit the hardest. That’s why Walgreens pharmacists are trained to provide patients with holistic care, counseling them on glucose goals, helping them find the right medications and testing devices, and providing expert advice to support each person’s unique healthcare journey.
